Make sure you email the seller and make sure he really has it in stock.

I tried to purchase one from ebay and the seller was actually out of stock even though it said there was 4 left.

something to think about: the picture they have of the complete exhaust system has hangers that are NOT the same as the hangers in the installed pic and the installed picture looks like the correct megan hangers

i got mine off ebay...sed he had 3 left....he didnt...i had to wait 2 months for mine still...but its deff cheaper from ebay then megn themselves

I looked for one for HOURS a week ago.. every place I called was out of stock and was seeing about a month to 3 month backorder.....!!

my car had one of these when I bought it. Took it to my mechanic and paid 300 bucks to have that crap taken off my car...

maybe it was the shoddy weld job that made it sound so horrible...

Wow ive heard only great things and have seen positive thoughts on the Megan.
Think it was possible that the previous owner didn't install it correctly causing leaks at the flanges...?

More than likely, yes. It sounded a lot like someone had poked a hole in the muffler... after that I decided to stay away from aftermarket exhaust systems.


FYI~ The mechanic I had work on the car is well-known to me and a superb mechanic on all makes/models. He even commented at how poorly it was installed.

apparently, the stock muffler for the 5th gen is about $220... ridiculous.
