Tokico Illumina issue - HELP!?!?
Tokico Illumina issue - HELP!?!?
Okay, for the past four months I have been trying to get my left from Illumina strut replaced under warranty. I have called Tokico so many times I cant even begin to explain how many people the have working there. They keep sending me to place after place and nobody is of any help. I originally bought a set of 4 from SCO a couple of years ago but they are long gone and I need to get this replaced. Its leaking oil. Tokico said they would warranty it, but I had to go through a distributor, which is fine, but I cant find anyone who will help me. On place anted over $300 for one strut! An no offense to anyone, but his Asian accent was so horrible I dont even think he understood what was going on. SO - is there any dealers on this forum I should talk to? There has to be somebody who sells to members here that can sell me a new strut and then have me ship them the one under warranty. PLEASE - if you know of anyone, post the info here. I cant tell you how much I would appreciate it!

Still no one with any into? I filled out the card a long time ago and sent it off. Im fine there, I just need someone to agree to sell me a new strut and handle my warranty. I wish I could find someone local!
Or call AJ-USA @ 18008771911

I recently did a replacement through Justin @ ImportCarPartsPlus. I had to ship the strut to him, he forwarded it to Tokico, Tokico sent the replacement back to him, then I had to pay for him to ship it to me. Absolutely ridiculous process.
yes i can see that, and especially because that means in theory to keep the car on the road you would need a new strut during this process anyway... and then you end up with 2 struts. unless that car could sit on jacks during that whole time.
Yea. Luckily my customer was replacing it with a full OEM suspension. It just took a while to get the replacement strut before he could sell the lowered set up. Kind of made things annoying when the customer was waiting for a $400-$500 payday, and it took 2 months to get it.
And frankly, I wasn't too happy or impressed with the service from ImportCarPartsPlus.

If your skills are like most of the folks on these org you probably installed something incorrectly or had other issues!
I'm sold on the Iluminas/w Progress Sport Springs...
Did you have to prove you did a handstand while talking to them on the phone too?
When it happens, I'll take the refund and buy a competing product, thanks.
