Need help with speedometer!!

Ok so being the dum dum that I am I found a 5.5 gen cluster and thought that it would work in my car. I found out it didn't work and then decided to take apart both clusters. I took out the needles and when I took one of the needles out on my cluster the whole metal pin the needle is on popped off. I freaked out and put it back in. I tryed making it work with my car and its stuck in one spot.

Now I sit with a new speedometer off ebay, and was wondering if I brought it to nissan that they could correct the milage on the new cluster?

Thank you,
TJ

I dont have a definite answer for you, but one dealership told me that a new speedometer has to be sent in to a factory of some sort to get the mileage changed. Some people on here say that the dealerships can do it, but it would be best to call your local one and ask.

I would assume it has to be sent in as a security measure against odometer fraud, so that the certain sleazy people at the stealership dont pull some tricks...
