my LCA was bad it made a noise too the guys at the shop did a little test to prove it me they were bad...one of them was in the car the other was by my front tires...the guy inside would have the brake applied with the car in drive then he would suddenly he would let go of the brake and then apply it again rapidly if the front tire does like a little jerk forwards or backwards apply the brake has been applied the LCA might be no good....im no car mechanic but thats what they showed me in the shop...good luck with fix

In the first one he was pushing (against the front)... in the 2nd same thing, in the 3rd pushing down on car...

I've seen similar in Toyota front wheel drives too... kind of an unusual issue though.

I already replaced last year both sides. Hit curb during snow storm and assume that's what did it. In all 3 videos I am pushing top of tire with my foot. Getting new LCA tomorrow. Takes a little time but has to get done. Front sounds like its falling off. Argh...

Do you get goofy jello like wobble while driving and going over bumpy roads? For example going over manhole covers where the road is slightly lower than the height of the manhole cover.

DONE! DONE! LIKE BUBBLE GUM!!!!

No more clunking, no more metal clanking, no more loose feel!!!

Took me about 1.5 hrs...

...should have been about 1 hour but I accidentally connected the sway bar bushing before putting the ball joint nut on. DUH!...

...so freaking happy.

Ummmm, 1st off, im surprised this thread went as far as it did with these assumptions. If you have no physical cracks or stress in the metal, clearly you need bushings. ES bushings will definitely help correct and stiffen the weak points pointed. The ES LCA bushings replace the rubber bushings in the LCA which will help stiffen and prevent further damage to those points. If you hit the gas and your steering wheel turns or you have a lot of torque steer, replacing this will fix that. If your car is lowered or you plan to add power, replacing LCA is only a bandaid. You really need to consider ES bushings....

UH, you sir are incorrect!

If you watched the third video, the steel rod that goes into the bushing in the back completely seperated from the LCA. The internal weld broke and therefore NO bushing of any kind would have prevented that from occurring.

I will stick with OEM bushings thank you...

And just to add to my comments, there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of the bushings. They were all in perfect like new condition, especially since they were practically brand new...

I've also heard some bad stories about the ES LCA bushings.

I heard the like to pop out, but I believe this was because some of the kids didn't come with the proper washers or something.

Either way, I don't want my LCA coming loose.
