this is what hapopend.... dive the car one day all fine everything perfect...dont drive it for a day come out to start it and nuthing...cranks over but wont start....after the 8th try it finally runs....go down the block shuts off on me /...startsright back up and everything was fine again

the next morning go to start the car and nuthin at all...bin workin on it all day...brand new cam sensors 2 months ago...new crank sensor...i have no spark or fuel pressure...wtf is up??...all fuses are fine checkd them out...it isnt the maf sensor...sum1 help me out

 

In the relay box (the one between the battery and the LH headlamp) you'll find two rows of relays. Ensuring that the Ign. Sw. is OFF, and preferably the battery ground cable is disconnected, and that the following relays are all color coded the same (BROWN), try swapping the far right (passenger) side relay (the ECM relay) in the front row with either one of the other two relays in the front row (two of the three cooling fan relays), and see if that gets you going. If that does work, replace the duff relay (now a cooling fan relay) before getting the cooling system hot enough to require cooling fan operation. What issue did you have that caused you to have the cam pos. sensors and crank pos. sensor replaced? Have you checked the harness connectors for those components for being pushed in fully, and locked?

 

^^ im deff gunna try that today...my cam sensor just went on their own and was time to change them....i just guessd on the crank sesnor cuz it was givin all the symptoms of a bad one...

i have a similar problem, car won't start, but when i use starting fluid it will start but only for a couple of second tried swapping the ECM relay but still want start, any other suggestion
had A similar problem when the chip in my key was lost, but started with my second key
now i have only 1 key do the chip in the key go bad

I have participation in another thread on my no start problems, but need to know normal behaviour for the lost key code problem. When I turn my ignition key on the sepurity light goes off for about 5 seconds and then glows solid. Is this normal behaviour? In all of my problems starting my Max, I removed my troublesome Audiovox alarm system from the car. I didn't install the system, so just removed everything associated with it. I'm wondering if something had to be cut to enable the installation of the system. But first things first.....does a working Max glow the security light after 5 seconds, or do I need my code reset. Groan I would have to tow my Max about an hour away to get this reset. Is there anyway to get this going to get it to the dealer without towing it.....if this is the problem. Hmmmmm......I am not a car thief lol. Likely not my ECM relay cause all my codes checkout fine, or could it still be the relay?

 

security light staying on as you try and start it means your key isn't recognized, sounds like a key problem

 

I was driving my car yesterday and it cut out. cranks great but didnt start. I checked the fuel pump and it did not work so I replaced it.I still dont get any fuel pressure and I also get no spark . I checked all the relays and even swithed a few but still nothing. I also checked the ECM but it is not connecting to ecm.
