I need some help with a suspension issue

I have a 02 SE. Ive been thinking for a couple weeks now that the shocks are worn (along with other parts). Well the car was parked on level ground and i decided push on the corners to see what happens.

The back end (both sides) does nothing. Well it barely moves but it might as well do nothing. I sat on the corner (240lbs) and im pretty sure it sank a fraction of an inch). Front drives side bounces, not a lot but it does bounce up and down a little. The front passenger side is fine.

So where i need help. The front drivers side to me seems like it is on its way out and the front passenger side is fine. I have no idea what is going on with the *** end of the car. The weird thing in it all is the car doesnt ride like crap, well it doesnt ride like it should but ive driven cars with bad shocks/struts and this doesnt feel the same.

So is my assumption correct and i need to replace them or is it something else?

thanks in advance

B

If you've got more than 80k on the struts, more than likely need replaced.

I've always been under the assumption that if you press down on your car it should sink. Then when you let go it should "bounce" no more then 1-2 times before movement stops. If it takes more movement for the car to "level out" then most likely struts or shocks could be replaced.

thats what it does with the front driver side (more movement). that front pass side (1-2 times) and the back end barely sinks
