Auto AC control problem

I caused this problem myself. This past weekend I swapped out my radio for a replacement unit with a good CD player. For those unfamiliar with replacing the radio on an 02, you have to take the whole center console apart.

I had a hard time removing the connectors on the AC control panel. I thought I was careful but now when the car is on the fan is blowing full force. All functions of the AC system appear to be work except the fan speed control. Everything else appears to function properly (temperature, vent control, defroster, even off, etc.).

I verified that the connectors on the back of the AC unit are fully connected and that none of the pins are broken. So I'm guessing I must have broken some internal wires on the wiring harness when I was trying to get the connector off. I ran the diagnostic mode of the AC unit and it thinks there is an open on the sunspot sensor on the driver side of the dash. I think this is probably not correct but I might have also broken that wire as well.

Anybody have experience with replacing this wiring harness? I'm guessing this is probably a fairly expensive job and at this point I don't want to touch it for fear of breaking things further. Any help is appreciated.
