light options 03 max

Im not to sure on these at all, im not much of a fan of halo/angel eyes, kind of like lambo doors on anything other than a lambo.

I have had my eyes on these lights for a while and not sure if anyone is running these in their cars http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...Q5fAccessories

This is my first maxima, I have owned vws for the past 12 years. My question is is this truly a plug and play light set up? with vws and buying euro spec lights, you had to rig them up for work with the radiator support and either make brackets for them to work ok or purchase an additional $600 bucks worth of parts.

Thank you for any help on this.

Jay

those lights are for a set of lights that fit a 00-01 without hids. ur bulbs in ur nissan are d2r hid's,so u might need a new set up. and there arent even brackets to mount ur ballasts to either. ull have to rig it somewhere else..

Those "lights" will be a big step backward in the illumination department.

OP would like black housings. Polishing them would not accomplish such thing.

OP, time to sit your wife down and tell her the way of the land. If this is your car, which I assume it is, then baking your headlights is your biz. You wont be unhappy with the results.

i actually was surprised at how clean and non pitted they were, i bought the car off of my mother in law and she kept it spotless, compared to the other 5th gens i have seen these lense are in good shape.

Looks like i am going to have to paint them, and when i do the lens cleaner kit i have here at work i am going to do some clear or gunsmoked laminx sheets on the front lights and fogs to while i am at it

Thanks for the info everyone

FWIW, plugging 5th gen headlights into a 5.5 front bumper will give you a big, nasty gap between the bottom of the housing and the bumper.

You'd be much better explaining to the wife what you're doing with headlights in the oven, and how it's not going to burn the house down.

Just keep the ones you got or paint the housing or go with the Halo for the year of the car you got a 03 cause those lights are cool for a 00 01 but not 02 03 like everybody else that is going backwards
