Please help. car Entry problem!!

alright guys... its me again. i bought my 00 maxima 5 months ago but the key-less entry does not work. i bought a remote a week ago and i tried to program and it still does not work. I read the how to on programming it but i get to the part where my hazards are supposed to flash... but they never do. I thought i was doing something wrong so i went to my 97 maxima performed the same operation but then my hazards flashed. What gives with my 00? i think it might be my smart entrance module but my dome works, and so do my door lights. Please help me!!!!!!!

These questions might seem obvious but could help in ruling out an incompatible/defective key fob: Do the FCC ID numbers between the old and the new control match (if you had an old one)? What's the FCC ID number? Where did you get the new fob (reliable source)? Can you post the how-to you've been following?

ive been following the how to where you go in the car lock the do0rs, and put the key in the ignition very fast untill the hazards flash. I know i have to be doing something right because when i do this in my 97 it works fine, and the hazards come on. I'm not sure if its the remote because i cant even get the hazards to flash when i do this process. What could the problem be if i cant even get my car to register the programming process of the new fob?

I'm sure not sure if you are aware that the fobs for the 4th generations are not the same as the ones for the 5th. Perhaps you have a fob not meant for your car. You really need to post some info about it (FCC ID#, purchased from, etc.) or even a picture.

i know there the same lol. MY question is why wont the hazards flash after i put the key in and out quickly? what im trying to say is i can get my hazards to flash when doing the process in my 97, but when i do in my 00 it wont flash this means my 00 does not recognize that im performing the keyless entry program. I cant get the hazards to come on.

What do you mean "they're the same"? Which ones are the same? I don't know how your question is gonna get answered here; you're not providing much information despite being asked.

i dont know how else to put it. I follow all the instructions in programming the keyless entry on my 00 but when i wait for the hazards to come on (to acknowledge that the all remotes have been erased and is ready for a new remote) the hazards dont come on. The remotes fcc match up with the keyless entry module so i know its not the remote.
