Original manual for 2003 (VQ35DE) recommends Nissan PSF II. Nissan now sells, simply, "Power Steering Fluid" (p/n 999MP-AG000P).

Is the acceptable to use in an '03 Maxima?

I think I have a leak somewhere bc I'm always having to top off the power steering fluid at least once a week. can anyone recommend a brand that would seal the leak or do I need to get the pump or hose replaced?

You need to get your P.S hose replaced, alot of us recently had to do/had this done. Check the High Pressure P.S hose, pull back that foamy feeling cover and more than likely you will have lots of fluid in there. Lots of us did!

if im looking directly at the fluid reservoir, i see 2 hoses leading from beneath it. one hose comes towards me and the other toward the rear of the engine. which one of those hoses has to be replaced or am i looking at the wrong hose?

*edit* nevermind, found the answer in another thread. looks like this is going to be a PITA job lol
