how to install keyless relay?

I bought a 01 SE a week ago but it had no key fob for the power door locks, so I just bought one off ebay. Went to program it but didnt work, I checked out the relay box under the hood, opened it up and BAM! no relay for the keyless fob, NOT EVEN WIRING!!!! so my question is, how do i install the relay with the wiring? Iv searched and havent found anything on the wiring, just the relay....

check to see if the BCM computer is in the trunk. it should be in the right side behind the panel and check to see if the fuse is there. maybe your car didnt come with keyless

Yeah, it looks like it didnt come with the keyless, but I wanted to see if there was a way to install it without taking it somewhere and getting raped on the price....

I could be wrong, but I thought they were all pre-wired for it. Have you checked the battery in the fob? Did you buy the correct fob? Some people have bought a 5.5 gen remote when they have a 5.0 gen; they're not interchangeable. Mine has fcc id:KBRASTU10 (01 AE)

edit: Just checked under the hood, I don't have a keyless relay either.

Thats what i thought too, the key fob is good, just dont have the relay. are you using a remote to open your doors even though you dont have a relay?

Just wanted to throw this out there I have a 2000 SE and bought an extra remote for my car. I got a remote with an FCC ID identical to the one that came with the car when i bought it. While doing research on i found out my original remote has the FCC ID associated with the Sentra. I was going to try a friend's remote to see what his FCC ID was and if i could program his to mine too.

Anyway both of my remotes FCC IDs are NHVBU427

Yes. I bought my maxima from the original owner in 07 with two remotes and three keys, never had a problem with the remotes. When I bought my 96 it had just one key. Had a friend purchase two used remotes off of ebay and programmed them, no problems. If I remember correctly, it didn't have the keyless relay, either.

Hmm that's interesting. Did they change remotes between 00 and 01?

my production date is something like 10/99 as well which might make a difference.

I dont know where the receiver for the keyless is but it should have the FCC ID on it somewhere

Good news, I got it working, BUT with an old murano remote that I had laying around. I guess you DONT need that keyless relay under your hood to have keyless entry.

Bad news is, now I have to try to get a refund from the ebay guy I got it from....

Thanks to everyone who contributed their input....
