A different electric seat problem (searched).

So this has been an issue for a while now, but I've just recently become fed-up enough to ask about it. On the driver's power seat, it works in 7 of the 8 ways. The seat slides forwards and backwards, and the back rest moves up and down. However, the butt cushion half as a problem. The actual but part of the seat moves up and down like it should, but the part under the thigh doesn't.

This bugs me because I'm only 5' 6.5" tall, so I like to sit high lol. But I can't raise the back half too far because then I'm being pushed out of my seat, so I don't know what to do.

After searching, the results told me all about the back of the seat not moving forwards and backwards, and one guys seat was actually laying on the back seat of the car. But if it was the motor, wouldn't the back half of my butt not move either? Any help?

There's a floating cord hanging under the seat, but I can't seem to find anywhere that connects and I'm thinking it might be for the heated seats that I don't have.

Sounds like it may be the switch itself. Trying popping the switch off and cleaning the **** behind it. If that doesn't help you may have to replace the entire switch assembly.

the seat in my 2k is almost like yours. The difference is it makes a grinding noise when it doesn't move. Sounds like yours has moved past the noisy stage.

I took off the plastic covering and played around with the bottom of the seat and nothing happened. Looks like I'll have to wait for the whole seat to go out, or another necessary part before I go and replace the switch.

I don't even know if there's any wreckers around here.

Also, I just can't justify spending $120 for my thighs hah.
