So I was driving my car today, Pulled into a parking spot and put the car in reverse. The moment I put it in reverse the idle started going crazy. It dropped around 400-500 and hesitated really really harsh. I imediatley turned the car off and started looking around.. Found nothing.. Ses light popped up and I ran to autozone which was a mile down the road. Miltiple start ups and ecu resets after I still had nothin ( I tried this before going to autozone). Taking off was extremely hard since the throttle was extremely hard. I kept hearing weird noises coming from my tb and feared it could have been that..

Got to autozone and guy was nice enough to let me in after closing and read my codes for me. I had 7 codes all for tps, A and b. Turned car back on wondering how I was going to get home with it running so horrible and ses light stayed on for a second, than went away. After that the car ran perfectly fine. I drove it now for about 70 miles since this afternoon and it still runs perfectly.. Wth? Don't these sensors go out all at once or is it slowly? It seemed pretty dead when I first got the code..

Anyone have any idea?

 

Hey Man- Saw your call way late. Was hanging with my girl and missed it. Russ had his throttle sensors actually go out on him a month or so ago. Close to the same symptoms. Keep an eye on it to see if it happens again. Shoot him a pm to see how his was exactly happening too.
