Changing plugs ('01) - what else should I replace at same time?

Hi all,

I have an '01 Max (VQ30DE) and an '03 QX4 (VQ35DE)... both have about 90,000 miles and I'd like to get the plugs changed out.

I know it's a pain in the *** job, so can anyone tell me what other things I should replace while it's all apart (gaskets, etc)? If you have part #s to share as well, that would be very much appreciated.

Plugs on an 01 are easy, IMO.

Aside from the plugs, I wouldn't do anything else, unless it needs it. Check the owners manual and see what's recommended.

I also speak for the '01; unless you want to replace all the coil packs, there's no much to it for spark plugs replacement, other than just removing the packs to get to them.

Oh, so it's not complicated like on an 02+? I figured I'd better replace the upper intake manifold, etc... but if I don't have to take anything apart I guess I'm good.

Would changing the plugs on the '03 QX4 (with the VQ35DE) be the same as an '02+?
