What is the switch for? To replace a busted one? Or for a modification?

This could be great for wiring in under-hood lighting like a lot of older cars have. I remember my dad's Corvette used to have lights under the hood so you could work on it at night. 99% of cars don't have it anymore because not as many people work on their own cars these days.

If I had my dad's old car around, I'd take a look. He sold it about 9 years ago, though.

I'm pretty sure it had a door-type switch in it. I could be wrong, though. At any rate, for a basic wiring setup to put lights under the hood, I can't see why this wouldn't work. It'd be the same concept as closing your door would it not? And I would think it'd be much easier than trying to fawk with a mercury switch...

^^^ I've seen both examples of underhood lighting. It all depends on the manufacturer.

As far as shifting at full line pressure goes, I just use my left foot...

Yeah, I just now thought about this.

Unfortunately, I'd never have this use for it. Mainly because I never intend to run NOS...

If you are that concerned with underhood lighting look for the retractable droplight from an 88-98 chevy truck.

Dammed egay motors...

Better refrence anyway
