will h&r springs from a 4 gen fit my 5th gen?

im looking at a set of h&r front springs, im wondering will they fit and will they look wierd b/c ill be keeping the oem rear ones on. just wanna drop the front a bit. any toughts?

Ummm...I'm just guessing on the tire size...I'm in Afghanistan so I haven't seen my car for a while, but I think they're 235/45/18. No rubbing, not even close...The drop is 1.6F 1.4R

oh that my main concern b/c i had maxspeed springs before and it rub left and right and i had on there 225/45/18, how long u been over there? military or contractor?

How low was the maxspeed drop?

Military and I've been here 5 months, almost halfway

I'm wondering how you rubbed on a drop that small...what type of struts are you running?

Hey soto the maxspeeds dont rub on mine and i got 225/40/r18 and the drop on them maspeeds is the same as h&r

front springs on 4th and 5th are relatively the same, the rears differ in the bottom coil diameter,.....it's a wider circle on the 4th than the 5th's.....but you solve that by installing the 4th Gen rear strut assemblies......

i rubbed in the back if i put them in the front will it look wierd??

It'll be too low in front it won't look right. Get some eibachs the drop isn't as low in the back.

If you are only dropping the front and not the rear, it will NOT look wierd, it will look level, that is the combo I went with after months of searching. H&R front, OEM SE springs rear, great ride too.

will sprint lowering springs be too much of a drop? they do like a 1.8
