Bumper Brace Blackout feeler

Ok, i dont care too much for heavily modding the outside of my car so i want a feeler for this. I was staring at my car for a while today and wondered how i could make it look better. I pondered if i blacked out the body colored piece going from the front bumper to the bottom skirt if it would look good. So i got out the trusty electrical tape to test and here is what i came up with (sorry for the cell phone quality).

Before:

After:

If i do go ahead with it i will paint it. So let me know whatca think!

Thanks!

That's the first time I've read about this idea. With your before/after experiment, I rather like the look. Of course, light and shadow will always come into play to see it or not see it, regardless of the blackout. Were you thinking satin black, to cut down on the reflective nature of gloss paint?

It's kind of a non-starter for states where you have to have a front plate. But on your silver car, I say go for it. Post up some pictures with your final project.

From seeing the glare from the tape i think i will go with the satin black. I love not having that front plate thanks PA lol

It's just like your rear tag, but on the front of the car. They don't require it in states where people have difficulty driving while chewing gum.

OP, definitely black satin, to match the black plastic in the surrounding lower grill. Nice simple mod. Cudos for thinking of it, assuming it turns out well.

Of course, I'm BS'ing about the front plate, and wish NY didn't require them.
