4TH Gen Snow Tires/Wheels on 5th Gen

I've got some Blizzak snow tires mounted on 15" alloy rims that were for my '96 GLE. I just bought a 2003 GLE and am wondering if the overall diameter might be the same so I can use the snows on the 2003.

Anyone know??

Just Looked at the Miata Tire Calculator

Just calculated the overall diameter it is 25.9 inch for the stock 2003 tires
and 25.5 inches for the 1996 snow tires. Seems like it would work.....

the wheels might hit the caliper, but try one on.

I had a 4th gen steelie from a GXE with a spare tire that we used on our old 4th gen maxima. I had a flat once and decided to throw that on the car (5.5 gen). It looked fine after I put it on. I drive it less than 5 feet and I could tell something was wrong.

It turns out the rotor was too big and the wheel was scraping on the rotor. Long story short, the 4th Gen 15" GXE steelie did NOT fit on my 5.5 gen.

Both of these cars were bought used, so i might not have the stock rotors on the 5.5 gen or the 4th gen might not have had the stock wheels, but i am pretty sure they were.
