Bent Rims?

Bent Rims?

My 2000 GLE has it's third bent rim. Is this typical?

Don't think so, are the road really bad where you live. If there was recent construction damaged your car you may be able to file a claim with your states DOT.

that s not normal to have bent rims three times,,,you hitting potholes,,or driving with deflated tires hitting potholes and going over curbs...are those stock rims ,,,

There is a place in Hoouston that is near where I work and they fix rims it used to be $100 each no matter what was wrong with it. I had an IROC 16" that was missing a chunk of the bead and when they were done You would have never known it was even a older rim. In fact it was so good I really needed them to recondition the rest of them. Another friend had some 22" that were bent and they fixed them as well. American Wheel sounds right, but I'll check it's been about 5 years since I have been by there.

Damn that sucks happened to me on 20'' rims when I hit a Big @$$ pothole made a crack and bent it but after fixed nothing to the other 3 trying to go lightweight 18's with more meat like 40's what they come with and when those wear out go with some 45's!!

They are awesome! I've seen him rebuild rims that were smashed to 1/2 its size....That guy can also weld Magnesium!!!!!! Magnesium is flameable and it's why there are Fire extinquishers for metal fires........
