2000 IACV question

2000 IACV question

my IACV went out on my 2000 maxima and i was wondering if i could just change out the sensor or get a complete sensor and houseing under the TB?

Yes you can. I just did that 1 month ago and works great now. It's hard to find just the sensor unless you go to a you-pull junk yard, so you may have to get the IACV metal housing and the sensor.

kool. i was just wondering because i had a second TB with the IACV on it and i changed just the sensor and i still got the code for it and my car wont idle when its cold. i guess that sensor was bad too. but thanks for the quick response dude

The metal housing usually doesn't go bad unless the o-ring gasket leaks, but that's unlikely. Most probably its the sensor too. Maybe the other one is bad too or getting there.
