While installing my locking hood pins, I decided to remove the hood gas struts and be able to open my hood wide enough for engine work to be done. I cut the corners of the hood, so when it is raised it won't penetrate the glass. I re-installing the hood and it slides off the area where you screw the nuts onto and puts a star right on the glass , Now I have to either see if the glass uy can do it for $30 bucks or have to go all the way and replace the front windshield.

use the 30 dollar stuff. should be even cheaper then that. fixed what you have going on. just take your time and do it in a cool place and you should be good to go
