2002 SE Dash Display
Hey everyone,
I am looking to replace the light bulbs in the dash display with blue ones. Either by replacing the actual bulb, or by installing blue plastic caps over the bulbs. Does anyone know if this is possible, or am I stuck buying one of those kits that cover up my current silver tach/speedometer display. And if it is possible, what are the correct bulbs/cover to buy? I just want to make the "white" lightbulbs blue (kinda like the new Volkswagon Jetta, etc)
Thanks in advance

I gonna take a guess and say that you also have the 194/168 Bulbs behind your dash, I just got some BLUE 194 L.E.D. lights from www.AutoDynamic.com, and let me tell you there really isn't a difference between my dash and the VW's dash anymore ...I got Clean Rich blue shining through my whiteface gauges. Worth the $27.00 i spent....hope that helps...

I personally needed 4 bulbs ( 3rd Gen ) but im pretty sure you will need either 5 or 6 bulbs, as far as the light gaps go, im not sure, all I can say is its really amusing to look at and I've gotten a lot of compliment from the people who rode in my car, They notice it right away....and the installation was pretty crazy, by the time you get to the blubs behind the cluster you'll realize that you ripped apart your whole console...its fun and definitely worth it

RE: 2002 SE Dash Display
I was able to remove the dash display using the old instructions for the 95-99 models. It appears that the instructions are exactly the same. But, the 194 bulb is way too big. I went to AutoZone and the local 24/7 Wal-Mart. Neither had ever seen the bulb before. Tomorrow I am gonna call the dealer and get the part number for it. It takes 4 of them. There are an additional 4 bulbs that light up the other lights on the dash (like the seatbelt indicator). I recommend NOT to change these. I will post more info once I talk to the dealer.

Ok. Here's the deal. I went to Nissan today. Come to find out - they don't even know. The Nissan part number for the bulb is 26262-01P40 and was about $4.00 each. I found a bulb that appears to be the same size as that one at Pep Boys. However, it was only white. The similar bulb number was 2723. An internet search left me finding nothing. So anyone who can find where I can buy a Blue 2723 bulb, please Private Message me AND reply to this forum. Thanks.

Update: After talking to a fellow .org member, I have found out that the #37 Wedge bulb will work as well. He ordered a few from a place, but said that they didn't give the expected output. Since then, I have searched as well, and have since ordered a few myself. When I find a set that works, I will post prices and the www link to the manufacturer.
