Dome Light LED - I'm thoroughly confused
Before continuing, I would just like to clarify: I have searched, a lot. Like, HOURS. All over the forums, all over other sites, including the Sylvania lighting guide. If it wasn't for lots of conflicting information and broken links on here, I would have an answer by now. I hate to make a new thread asking what is probably going to be a simple question/answer, trust me, I know how annoying that is. But I feel like I've exhausted all other options at this point. Anyway, to cut to the chase, I'm looking for a replacement plug-and-play LED bulb that is RED for my dome light (NOT the map lights). I've read things about polarity, switching wires, LED light boards, and quite frankly it's overwhelming, especially for someone like me who is not at all proficient in lighting setups. I just want to pop out my stock bulb and put in a red LED bulb and have it work just like the stock bulb did without any further modification. Is this what I'm looking for to match my description of what I want? Or no? Link:

I would be thrilled if someone could give me a link from eBay or vLeds or elsewhere to a red plug-and-play LED bulb for the dome light that I could buy, but any advice/guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

Indeed it is. For future reference, if anyone needs to find out a certain bulb that they need just use this site:

OP, go on eBay and type in "DE3175 LED" (without the quotations) and you should find what you want.

OP, you're over-analyzing this. It's just a simple festoon bulb. All you need to do is get the right length, and even then, if you get the slightly longer one, you can bend the connectors to fit. I forget what the length spec is... 32mm comes to mind, but I don't remember exactly. Take your OEM bulb out and measure it.
As to polarity, if it doesn't light up, simply turn it around. That's the beauty of festoon-style bulbs and dealing with polarity on LED's.

Ah, thank you thank you thank you guys. And Rochester, I had been hoping you would chime in. Of the majority of threads I'd searched in, you really seemed to have some great knowledge about lighting and LED conversions. You're right, I do tend to over-analyze things like this, but I did call it in the first post, it ended up being a simple answer I had seen in the Sylvania guide that the bulb was a DE3175 but some things I read on here were throwing me off about fitment and whether it would work or not. Well, now I know what to order so I'll be getting on that. Thanks again everyone!
