strange noise coming from rear wheels
My 2001 GLE has 137000 miles and has been well maintained.
After driving a spell, a strange buzzing noise occurs (intermittently) for 15 minutes or so . . . from the rear wheel wells. Its a high frequency vibration or buzzing.
The motor mounts are disconnected . . . and I only hear the noise after the car is shut off. The brakes work well.
Any ideas?

From the rear wheel wells?
Only two options I can think of off the top of my head...
1.) Electronic motor mounts are making noise somehow and it's telescoping down to the wheel wells. How, I have no idea.
2.) Your ABS is freaking out...somehow.
