Thanks again for all the comments guys - makes a difference. Enjoyed some of those stories as well.
Anyway, got the final results this afternoon. Car is obviously totaled. It was hit so hard (at least 30-40mph) that the entire suspension was bent and the frame. Total loss. They stopped tallying damages at ~$6k. I still do not understand how the cab pulled this one off.
The good news: Since the car was in such good shape, low mileage, they took the NADA re-sale, added a premium for the aforementioned conditions, added MA taxes, and my payout is over $8k. I am taking it...
Looks like the good vibes came around for me.
Thanks again for all the support.

P.S. Take the tails off your car and sell them to me before the car goes to the insurance company

$8000 is at least a fair settlement. It sucks that it happen to someone who takes care of there car though...because of stuff like this, I have a binder full of all my receipts of thing's I've put into my car, just in case something happen and they tried to give me less than I deserved...

$8K is enough to buy a nice '03! Man, I'd have to say that that is the best possible outcome of a really crappy situation.
I also parallel park in front of my apartment on a fairly busy street three houses up from a not-quite-as-busy intersection. I've seen this happen one other time (my car was parked on the other side of the street, thank goodness!) where this poor, poor kid was driving home from his job at McDonalds at ~1AM and fell asleep, drifted left in his brother's ~'03 Impala and smashed into an Xterra, then four more cars before stopping just short of the intersection. The damage was... impressive, to say the least. The dude who owned the Xterra lived above me, but I never heard what happened to it, other than the obvious fact that it was totaled. The cops towed it off the next day (it was "parked illegally" since the kid had knocked the back wheels into the grass) and the guy moved out sometime in the next few weeks.
I heard it happen and ran outside to comfort the kid because he was maybe 17, freaking out about the wreck, annnnd, since he was black, plenty of people were leaning out their windows swearing at him and shouting threats. Cops took care of it professionally, from what I saw. Well, other than the douche move of telling me I should find a way to contact the Xterra owner and tell him to move his wheels off the grass or he'll be towed. Yeah.

Haha, sorry guys, they took the car yesterday. You can have whatever you want from it if you can track it down... All I have left is the weather mats.
Won't be buying a new car for a bit... After this incident and Boston winter, I might as well wait until Spring/Summer seeing as I will not need it too much over the next few months. Wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with a Max again though...
