Will a Nismo CAI for an 05-06 Altima work on a 5.5 gen?
Craigslist browsing led me to find a KILLER deal on a Nismo CAI for an 05-06 Altima V6. I know that the V6 Altima had the VQ35DE in those years. Would the intake fit on my 5.5 gen without any problems or major modification needed? Main concerns are filters and etc lining up.
Engine bays looks somewhat similar, am I right?
I searched and couldn't really find any threads that would apply to this situation. Any input would be appreciated. The guy is asking well below half the MSRP for it so if it's something that could work I'm going to jump on it immediately. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance guys

The modifications needed to make it work are not worth the loss in power. Read up on all the threads regarding short ram air vs. pseudo cold air vs. cold air.

2. G.A.B.
3. DIY Short Ram

The MAF bolt pattern is different vs our VQ35's. The tubing might work, but you'll need a MAF adapter. And in the end, you'll end up doing a bit of 'custom' work anyway ...
