DressUpBolts.com?

When you get your hardware from Fastenal, you'll probably want to polish it up. If you don't have a polishing wheel (because you're not a Jeweler, LOL), here's what I do to polish bolts...

  • Start with some Mequires Metal Polish (the pink stuff).
  • Put on a work glove so you don't dig threads into your fingers.
  • Dap the bolt into the polish, and rub it vigorously against the plastic side of a kitchen scrubby.
  • Then do the same against a microfiber towel.

Elbow Grease = Shiny!

As long as he's polishing his own bolt, and not someone elses... I don't see a problem.

They cost under $5/each, and it wouldn't cost more than $10 to get them powdercoated in whatever color works with your bay. There's just no point.

I do appreciate the compliments, guys. Really. But this bit of bling is a no-brainer, DIY project.

Nice!! I just bought some new ones with the rubber bushings and I'm going to have them painted blue to match my theme under the hood. Also need to get that hood close sensor bracket too because its rusted to the max and looks like it's on its last leg and then going to get that painted as well. I think after its painted blue I will use the titanium silver bolt so it pops out more...

Just bolts? Well, excluding all other engine bling, if you're asking just about the stainless steel & Titanium nuts and bolts:

$230 including shipping & tax from 11 separate purchases over the last 18 months.

Somebody PM'd me about this old thread, and I just took a trip down memory lane reviewing it. Good times, LOL.

I sold the Maxima three years ago, and have since moved on. However, here's what the engine bay of my current car looks like.

I am so glad that you decided to put in the work to get the engine bay looking nice. I just recently purchased an 02, and this is firsy on my list.

Congrats on the G37

LOL. Hi, Manny. Sure has been a while. Hope all is well.

I miss the Org, but have a new forum home on MyG37, so it's all good. And as you can see by my build thread, I've been similarly involved with modding my G, much in the same way or more than I was with my old 5.5 Gen.

Intake

Greetings everyone.[/QUOTE]
What intake are you using? I’ve been looking for months. K&N doesn’t make a cold air intake system for gen 5. And I keep seeing short ram intakes?

Are they kits or do you diy them?

That intake was bought in 2006, from a company called Frankencar, which shut down not long afterwards.
