Megan vs Eibach Lowering Springs?? HELP!!!

Now I know there was a thread created by a fellow member who just installed Megan Racing springs on his 5.5 gen. Now my situation is this: Im picking up a set of Illuminas which already have Eibachs mounted on them, however I already bought the Megan lowering springs because I was planning on buying new Illuminas before the Illumina/Eibach deal came up.

Ive researched and found that Eibachs are firmer springs and have great handling reviews but have a mild drop at 1.3 front and 1.0 rear. I have not been able to find the spring rates for them though (Ive seen the thread with all the spring rates on the forum but theres a few numbers for the Eibachs).

The Megans offer a more aggressive drop at 1.75 inches both front and rear, and have spring rates of 280F/230R, which seems like a decent handling spring rate. I am looking for more of a stiffer more controlled ride quality.

Now my question is would it be worth it to swap out the Eibachs and go to a more aggressive drop with the Megans or keep the Eibachs and settle for a lesser drop but good handling reviews?

Any opinions appreciated!!

Im just not sure what I should do.

i have riden on both, just the megans have a lower drop its pretty much on how low u wanna go. both are great set of springs u can go wrong with either one. i would stick to the eibachs since they are already on just slap them in and enjoy

So the ride is fairly similar in terms of stiffness?

Eibach is supposed to be one of the best handling springs out there, so that plus illuminas sounds like a winning combo to me. Sell the Megans and buy a RSB.

I actually have a Progress RSB, Stillen rear strut bar, and Blemcho stage 2 LTB Im waiting to install with my suspension. Sounds like the best move would be to just sell the Megans since most guys say the Eibach/Illumina combo is fairly solid. I guess Ill have to settle for 1/2" less of a drop, no biggie I guess lol.

Dammit I shouldve waited one more day before ordering these Megans.

megan racing lowering springs offer a pretty nice and even drop....on a 5th gen the drop is 1.6" front and 1.5" back[not 1.75]....i think megans and illuminas would be a great combo...i have MR's with stock shocks/struts...ride's pretty stiff n i feel like i have much more control over the car compared to stock.

i'd keep the MR's n sell the eibachs just because MR's lower your car more, but that's just my opinion....some pics of my drop can be found here

edit: btw its a 2 finger gap in the front and the back after the drop

No offense but where are you finding that the drop is 1.6 front and 1.5 rear, on Megans website it says the drop is 1.75 front and rear. Im just curious, Ill probably end up swapping off the Eibachs just so I dont lose money because I already bought the Megans.

Ohhhh 1.75"f/r Go with Megan than. Check my sig im dropped 1.8f/r so its should be pretty much identical. FYI I sold a set of eibachs for 150/shipped very quickly. You shouldnt have any trouble moving them.

I can't justify dropping a grand into a 9 year old car with 109k miles. I've looked around and noone is selling a decent set of used coils. I'd love to but I just don't have the money.
