Most Recent Project: Grill
rroderiques77 has an ebay grill with a Nismo emblem he bought seperately, attached. You can get those emblems (and other variations) off ebay. His car is definately awsome.
My grill is made by hand, custom. I gutted a stock grill and fiberglassed the edges to close up the gaps. I then used aluminum mesh trimed in plastic door guard edging and cut out my center block pillar from the bumper so the mesh could sit back further, adding further dimension. I have a variant emblem coming for my grill...should be here any day now.

im just confused why you fabricated this, when very similar was allready out there? did you want factory fitment? and or factory quality?
(at the time I fabricated mine, there was nothing else)
Looks great though, I give you many props because fabricating these things to org standards are hard. Great work!

I struggled with the idea of buying the ebay version, but it was not close enough to what I wanted the grill to look like.
What I mean is that I wanted something that actually sat deeper into the bumper (even the ebay "mesh" grill sits right up, almost flush with the bumper. I wanted to create a grill that was recessed and added some dimension and depth to the front. I definately wanted as stock a fitment as I could get, although (as previously discussed) I had to remove the center block behing the grill.
I was trying to achieve something like (see pic below) this, but wthout having to replace the entire front bumper. I also thought these kits were a bit over the top for me and it being a daily driver. So, I went with the Stillen lip and grill mod.

^^^-----I'll take it off when you re-install your A/C!
j/k! Still trying it out....not fully made up my mind yet. I plan to run it another couple months to see if I'm satisfied. If not, it's gone and back with the stock grill.
BTW, Wayne: I've finally got some struts on the way. Thanks for the help on the springs...no doubt I'll be able to manage the install!
