Hydraulic clutch question...

i noticed recently after my new clutch has been installed that the pedal pressure varies from time to time during city commute and freeway commuting.
for example driving in the city, the pedal pressure has a good amount of stiffness to it.
but if im cruising on the highway for more than 20 miles without pushing in the clutch, and then when i go to shift gears, the pedal will almost fall to the floor without alomost any resistance?
i noticed that if i pump the clutch pedal really fast 5-6 times , the clutch feels normal again and all is good.
is this just a sign that my clutch hydraulics are on their way out? do the clutch lines need to be bleed again or something?
i looked for possible leaks or low clutch fluid but everything is in place visually.
