Tape error message with cassette adapter - Bose TAPE ERR. Any workaround?
My bose head unit recently started doing the 'switch to side two, then give the "TAPE ERR" message'
I have been using the tape deck with a cassette adapter with no problems for a while now. I bought a new cassette adapter and tried another cassette and I get the same message.
I only use the tape deck for a cassette adapter - Is there any workaround for this? If I open the head unit and disable the motor for the tape deck will that work? I have the bose with the built in cd changer so there is no easy way to add aux in.

What brand cassette adapter are you using? I get that problem if I try to use a non-Belkin adapter (i.e. generic eBay one and from Radioshack), but I haven't had that problem since switching to a Belkin adapter (model# F8V366-APL).
