Cold Outside, Rough Engine

With the recent cold nights my cars engine idles rough and sounds loud until the engine is warmed up to temp. Doesnt seem to be missing, engine is just rough until warmed up. Not sure what it could be. Oil level is good, recent oil change. Now when its warm out engine is pretty smooth.. @ start up........

No, no skipping @ start up. Engine idles rough under 45-50 degrees.I do hear a slight tapping noise as well. Once engine warms up for about 10-15mins engine runs nice and smooth and tapping sound is gone. Otherwise engine runs strong. Currently @ 117,000. Could it be bad valves? But, engine tapping goes away after being warmed up. Tapping would continue if any of the valves were bad correct???

its probably just a little cold. engines are made of metal and metal doesnt like to move when its cold. just take it easy till the oil temp (not coolant temp) is up and you should be fine

This is fine, my 7 gen does the same exact thing, loud as hell when it first starts in the morning but then when it warms up its really quiet.
