Have to admit -- I thought you had g35c wheels....and I was "circling the carcass" for a taste!

Sorry man -- couldn't HELP myself.

Glad you're ok.

As much as we love our cars -- it's JUST a car.
You'll probably get a better, nicer, ride in no time at all.

I'll be curious to hear how State Farm treats you -- i have them as well.

Sorry to hear about this, I hope you feel better. That is exactly the way my '98 Maxima died.

LOL.....Reminds me of a story my boss told me years ago......he got side swiped by a car driving the other direction just after be bought coffee.....the impact splashed the coffee straight up to the ceiling. When he came to a stop, the coffee was dripping on his head.

But seriously, sorry for your loss, but glad you are okay......relatively anyway compared to what it could have been. Like was said before, make sure you take care of your neck and back. Physical therapy for those things does absolute wonders.

Dibs on the hood and bumper!!!!

Make sure to see a chiropractor. I got rear ended in my max and thought I was fine. A few weeks later I had a serious pain in the neck, got some x-rays and found two vertebrates were dislocated and starting to cause nerves to be pinched. If they catch it early they can straighten you right out with just a few terrifying neck snaps.

I know the feeling, happened to my 3.5 Altima a couple months ago.
Hopefully you get enough out of the insurance to get another great car.

I know how frustrating it can be when careless drivers are completely oblivious to other things going on around them, and you take the heat as a result. Half of Nashville drives like that.

I'm a strong advocate of the U.S. stepping up on training requirements to operate a motor vehicle...

Glad you are ok. 50% of drivers suck. DMV needs to step up

Glad to hear you're okay. I hate 99% of drivers out there, mostly because they shouldn't be on the road. Sorry to see your car go like that.

yeah +1 people are nuts out there, and certain areas with the population and expanded traffic and same old roads, it is making drivers bonkers. its disturbing seeing how certain people drive.

LOL, that's an understatement.

At least you didn't get a cobalt. You would have already been stranded.

This thread is heart-wrenching, especially the pictures. What a waste of a clean, nicely modded Maxima because some ****head did something stupid. Glad to hear you're alright.

Did you know in a survey done a few years back, I think it was like, 94.1% of the polled population considered themselves to be "above average" drivers in respect to how well they can operate a motor vehicle?

LOL, pro **** there

Do I count as above average since I have successfully avoided 100 million people trying to hit me or kill themselves by my car?

They just today settled for my car. $7300. Not too bad since book value is about 6.8k. Now just gotta wait for them to pick it up and give me my damn check.

Did you get to take any of your mods off the car? Or did they just take it as is? Not asking because I want anything, just curious. That's not a bad settlement.

I took my wheels, spacers, and horns off.

I'll sell the wheels at a later point.

Sucks about the accident but it is good to see that even a hard hit like that didn't intrude into the passenger compartment at all.

This was a deer at about 30mph. Travelers totaled the car and wrote a check for $52xx.
