Finally Upgrading ! :]

I saw a listing on craigslist last week about a 03 5.5 gen with the 6 speed and titanium package for sale about 15 minutes from my house. So today on my day off i went up there and talked to the guy and looked at the car. Man it is soo nice and clean i couldnt believe it..It only had 1 prev. owner and the inter is mint black leather and all black trim.. The test drive was amazing lol especially compared to my 91..I talked the guy into selling it to me for 8k which i didnt think was a bad deal at all considering it has only 87k miles :] heres the listing of it..http://www.johnsonsokusedcars.com/in...53678&ref5=261

i will be taking many more pictures and i look forward to being apart of the 5th gen crew !!

Nice pick up, OP. Those leather seats look in amazing condition. You're going to have a blast modding that 6MT.

I'd recommend the nose-bra-delete mod. It's real easy.

Thx cmax:] its cool having a 5.5 gen and a 3rd gen in the back yard lol but for my first 2 mods i want coil overs and a lip kit so jw are the tein ss coilovers the best or are there other just as good but cheaper brands....what do you guys recommend? also i love the max tuning front lip and full kit but looks like they are like 800 bucks.. anybody have any cheaper outlets?? Thanks u guys again!

Congrats on the find ! Mine example is almost identical.

Tein SS coilovers would be a great place too start. As others have mentioned the Energy suspension bushings and short throw shifter mod really give the car better "feel" for very little money.

8? Since its 6spd and has the leather and is in good condition I guess that is why the 8 is a good price. I am trying to sell my car to get a manual one. Mine is an 02 SE Auto, the body is a little ruffed up so I am only trying to get 5500 out of it. It also does not have leather seats just cloth. Around the same miles I just hit 90k. I really am just bored with the auto and want a nicer standard one to toy with.

How do you like the turning radius?>..hehe

..Congratsulations!..new toys are fun huh?..I couldn't handle the huge turning radius on the 02 I picked up recently, and I finally just removed the bump stops.
Seems to have no negative impact, and makes parking the beast a lot easier...still sux compared to a 4th gen, but better, and an easy mod.
Have a blast!

What I call bump stops are called stopper bolts in the FSM ,and are located on the steering knuckle. They contact the LCA as you turn the steering wheel to the limit. They usually have a plastic cap on the end, but this may have fallen off (which btw usually means you get a metallic clunk when you reach the steering limit that sounds like hell-caps can be replaced). The bolts are easy to remove, but may have the usual corrosion.
NOTE: I've never heard anyone mention any subsequent problems(rubbing or wear) after removing the stopper bolts. I examined the steering/suspension geometry at the limit with them removed, and I didn't see any potential problem-EXCEPT-if you DO remove the bolts I wouldn't recommend turning your steering wheel full lock at anything other than parking lot speeds to avoid putting any added strain on your outer CV joints, and especially, don't turn to full lock and accelerate..I'm sure that would cause problems. Not to scare anyone, but remove at your own risk- I only removed them to allow me a smaller turning radius when parking, and I'm never anywhere near the steering limit any other time.

Nice find, I have the same color car except I have the grey interior. The mods that I'd recommend are the do it yourself STS and the CAI.

Hey, you've got extra cricket! That's pretty funny.

I have what looks like a sesame see in one of my lenses. Drives me nuts.
