+1 he is a cool dude.... im not saying his coolness makes up for the car and how yall like it but, dont go making a thread bashing the guys car which would kick everybody's **** in this thread right now.... EVERYBODY, sometimes its good to get to know someone before you go bashing em (not saying thats what the OP was doing) but really what has the guy done to anybody here, everybody have a different taste and he clearly chose that hood for a reason, now lock this thread

Pretty sure 1swtmax can handle himself on the Org. He's developed a healthy, thick skin for all the comments about how his Maxima looks. Heck, I've probably dumped on him a few times as well. I hate that ricey crap.

But at the end of the day, he's still happy and his car is mechanically respectable.

So 1swtmax wins. Kind of humbling for the rest of us.

It's DEFINITELY not ricey. Definitely not. The guy who said "nice GRAND AM" was right on the money, only I'd say, "Nice Pontiac G8," myself. Since when did GM make rice? Nah, that's classic... uh... American muscle squirted onto a generic mid-size import?

I like the side skirts, myself.

While the car is not entirely my taste, I have a lot of respect for 1swtmax. Having a turbocharged maxima is not easy. There is always something that needs to be fixed or little things you are always watching out for. The fact that he has that much power, plus has put a ton of effort and work into every other aspect of the car is what makes me appreciate the car, regardless of personal opinion. I can respect all that hard work. Plus he has a 409whp 3.5 that has not blown up yet

I don't think anyone is questioning the fact that car moves and puts down massive power... And I would assume that everyone applauds the beastly manner of that car.

But remember that looks are subjective and a forum is made for people to have the ability to post what they think. A little friendly taunting is good for the ego and good for a few laughs.

Just keep the opinions on the car, not the owner unless he proves otherwise.

I think its closer to $10K. He had the car shipped to Cal from PA, and then back.

I would drive it. Atleast it has the power to back up the look, unlike alot of Poser Imports out there.

I love this car, the turbo is a really nice set up. Granted the body isnt my taste, but it also isnt my vehicle either. I give him a lot of respect and I have talked to him before via PM's about the turbo kit, the only thing keeping me from doing it is not having my car for a bit and I need it everyday so I will have to wait.

Reading a lot of comments makes me think I was looking at the vw site again, everyone is slammed on BBS wheels, bags, and flat black paint just like all the rest. Who cares if they dont like it, its his car, let him style it the way he wants to and stand out from all of the rest at a show, judges will look at it and say hey this one looks different, extra points for being creative. To each his own.

its disheartening to see how canibals eat their own. the stuff that passes for posts now a days is irritating to say the least.

the dude likes it, i love it, i respect the hustle and originiality, but to jump on a post to repeat the same thing 15 times over...irritating.

Man, some of you guys make me . But to the one calling me gay, wtf you don`t even know me dude. And thanks to you that stood up for me.

Hey, its like this. I did not want the usual 5.5 gen done up like the next guys. I`m mean everyones 5.5 gen on here look the same, well for the most part. This one does not. But with that being said the hood is getting a little old to me, too. Theres a new look for the car in the spring over the winter months the car will be getting a new body kit (old one was showing its age) and the hoods coming off. Rims also are coming off and already have new ones sitting in front of the car right now still in boxes. I`m going for a more sleeker look, than from a bam here I am look. Not that I think that I have to explain myself to you guys why my car looks the way it does, but there you go. I love the way the car looks and thats all that matters. And in the spring I will still love the way the car looks. And yea your right, if you think its riced out, I got one thing to say, BRING IT.

I can also say the car is fun as h3ll to drive.

If it was ANYONE else but you, I would've said "you'd be looking at taillights anyways..".

But it's you, another turbo 5.5. So FML.

Hey. I meant to ask you earlier. With SFR's new manifold, could you use the factory engine cover or not?
Unlikely a bolt-on judging from your sig photo.

Sounds like some pretty big plans you got, definitely in for seeing what the results look like come springtime. Like I said before the looks aren't my taste but the performance work you have done is incredible. Reading what you just said though, I can appreciate the reasons for the direction you went with how it looks. I like that your main goal was originality. Lots of respect for that.

I see you're local to me as well. Not too many Maxima people around here, that's pretty cool.

Yea, I believe it does fit. But you would have to remove very little at the top towards the IM cause it would slightly hit the shinny runners.

Was your original dyno with SSIM or Kinetix?

OH! The owner of that car is a member on here.

But seriously, some people act like that is the most rice thing they have ever seen in their lives. Yeah sure... maybe if Honda Civics never existed.

There are way worse things out there...

And I don't think it would be exactly considered rice anymore if he can drive circles around you while you are going straight at max speed with NOS.

When I got the car back from Cali, it dynoed here at 386. Then with new IM from Speed Force and a 3" cutout it dynoed at 409. So not really sure what the Speed Force IM would make, just the IM.

Hmm..... I wonder what caused the HP increase. Cut out or UIM. I am willling to bet it was the mani. You already have 3" exhaust (I figure), so the cut out probably wouldn't yield that much HP.

Try to dyno without cutout and see what happens. I am curious as fukc now...
