ECU self reset or OBDII Scanner reset

ECU self reset or OBDII Scanner reset
Last year I got a hard P1320 and a pending P1320 code.
I cleared the SES with the scan tool and 7 monitors reset fairly quickly, but the Catalyst took the longest. It took like 2000 miles before all monitors were good.
Last month, and over 5000 miles later, the SES went off again. Again I reset the code with the scan tool and all engine monitors all reset within 70 miles.
Last week the SES came on again and I got the P1320 code again. I tried clearing the code again, but while monitoring the Catalyst to reset, I got a pending P1320 code.
I was delaying the inevitable, so I bit the bullet and replaced all coils with OEM grey dots.
My question is it better to leave it alone and let the ECU self clear the pending P1320 code or should I clear the ECU with the scanner tool now?
I am asking because I put over 200 miles waiting for the Cat to reset since last week. If I reset it now I will be starting the drive cycle all over again, unless the pending will clear itself and not affect the catalyst monitor. I need it to be all good for an inspection asap.
Anyone know how many start/stops/approx mileage before a pending P1320 goes away?
I am now leaving a pending P1320 (No SES light illuminated) for now because I have 7 engine monitors complete and waiting for the Catalyst to finish.
