hahahaha epic fail! Maybe a tune up would help, but the org doesnt take kindly to "street" racing.

IBTL.

But there's no way a 2000 325i is faster than a 5.5 or even a 5th gen for that matter. I've driven both. My 5.5 gen is definitely quicker.

Unless you throw them both a few curves. the 50/50 weight distribution of the 325i is a wonderful thing to drive.

Oh, there's no doubt the BMW can outhandle the Maxima stock for stock.

My sister's 325i is a dream to take down the twisty backroads. Its handling characteristics are very similar to the IS300 I had...that little thing handled like it was on rails.

HaaaaH..... Oh what the he**, I'll preach...

1) the 321i is a discontinued model of bmw way back in 1981.
If there is a 321i in 2000, well you are most likely refering to the 325i that would be the same exact thing!
SO WE WILL CALL IT A 325......

2) A 2003-2004 3series (not M or sport package) is not even getting past the hood of a 5gen nor a 5.5.

3) the VQ had more torque, power and better pulls at high RPM's partly because of our little goodies Nissan hooked us up with....

4) In 2000, I wouldn't even buy a 5 series if it were on sell for 2G's, they were all crap, including our famous other > Volkswagen had the same problems... Electrical issues everywhere ; so you add all that up with BMW dealerships, very expensive parts, high maintenance cars (for nothing), value vs quality and you get.................... "I think I'll go for a 2000 maxima SE, with leather, world famous V6, 17's, sunroof, traction controle, bose system~ and comes with a harmless SES light.... for less."

5) Since this thread has very high chances of beeing off the map, I'm gonna go ahead and add that I know for a fact that the 325 is slower:
I was behind the wheel of a 2000 MAXIMA when I so happened to realize.............

-Now I think its time for some to get to steppin' or more READING < for real.
or just go to sleep..... works for some.....

Your 00VI is probably not opening up, which gives you no power above 5000 RPM.

Maybe it was a 320i?

I test drove a 320ci a couple of years back. Slow as a mule.... but it did handle awesome, and the ride was good.

That's true, but only if you delete the HP governor. I've also found you gain HP if you reverse your uni-directional tires.

These simple little mods are just the tip of the iceberg for performance mods that Teh Government doesn't want you to know. There are others, but I think this thread is being monitored.

You didn't hear this from me. IBTL

You wouldn't believe how many semi-truck drivers seriously ask me to "raise the power," like we can just throw a switch and bump them from 400 HP and 1600 lb*ft to 800 HP and 3000 lb*ft. O.o

i say it all depends on the transmissions, Beamer 5spd m/t would probably take a 5.5gen 4spd auto
but enjoy your ban good sir!
