Rear Deck Rattle?

Rear Deck Rattle?

My 2000 Maxima Gle with the bose stero seems to have a rattle. I used to think it was the spoiler was losse. It used to do it siting still sometimes. Then i put in my subs and it just rattles all the time. It could possibly Be the trunk.

Check the license plate frame first, it's the most common cause of bass rattle. Dynamat it.

The Bose rear deck rattle is a common problem with our cars, mine's got it, and thanks to that site, I know how to fix it, I just haven't gotten around to taking the rear seat and deck out to mat it yet.

i know what your saying i have 2 12 inch subs in the back and a couple cans of spray foam under the deck did the trick, go in the trunk and just fill all the holes with it, it also makes it so much louder because its sealed

just did the same thing with the spray foam, it expands then hardens works pretty good but i still have a rattle and like 3 C clamps under there but tooke my bose subwoofer out so i would have somthing to grab onto with them

Spray foam...what a great idea! Wish I had thought of this when fixing my rear deck rattle years and years ago. It was a pain in the butt to remove the rear deck, put the matting down, and get it to fit smoothly after. Spray foam is so much easier!
