Does the car feel sluggish now? You may need new gaskets if you took the precats off.

Yeah there could be a leak coming through there. Do you have a check engine light? A lot of the times, the ECU also has to readjust to different airflow patterns in order for the car to run properly.

Yes it's on but i haven't checked to see what the code is yet. Will resetting the ecu solve the sluggishness (is that a word)? lol

Check the codes and go from there. Resetting the ECU may help.

You need two anti-foulers.

The primary O2 sensors do not need anti-foulers, otherwise you'll run rich as hell.

Only the secondaries need them to keep the secondary sensors from reading a rich condition.

Are you talking sluggish throughout the entire RPM range? Or just down low, like in every-day part throttle driving?

I could see a small decrease in down low throttle response due to the reduction in backpressure, but the increased flow up top should more than make up for it.

I'll be doing this soon, too, so I'm curious as to your outcome, and as to codes as well.

Ok went to auto zone to get the antifoulers, and to check the codes had 4 of them. P0420 and P0430 Efficiency below threshold Bank 1 and Bank 2. Two antifoulers came in a pack, do i use both in a pack on 1 sensor or one on each?

Yes, you put it on the secondary sensors. That is great picture. Is it from the factory service manual?

However, putting them there will only fix the P0420 and P0430 code. Your car will continue to run bad unless you find the real cause.

No it wasn't. i gutted the rear about three years ago, and it seemed like it picked up a little. So since i don't have the cash to buy headers, i decided to gut the pre cats.

Could be you didn't get everything out of the cats and now something has broken loose and is causing a restriction somewhere in your exhaust.

I personally would take then back off (or take it to a good 'ol boy garage) and weld some straight pipe through them. If that is done, there should take out any questions regarding turbulence.

-OR- you do it right and just install a set of headers now.

You're part way there taking the pre-cats off! Just sayin...
