i have 8k hids in my headlights. what high beam bulbs would most closely match these? or should i get an hid conversion kit and do it the better, albeit more expensive way?

Personally, I think HIDs in high beams are useless and will wear them out quicker.

If you're looking for white, you should check out Silverstars.

Xenons/HIDs aren't really meant to be flicked on and off all the time, I would also stick to halogens. I've been quite impressed with the stock bulbs...

No halogen bulb is going to even come close to matching 8000K color. You COULD get a conversion kit for the hi beams, but why?

HID high beams aren't worth it, just get some 100W halogens off eBay.

or some of the new highly intense Wagners, I used PIAA extreme white 100w bulbs but you can't find them anymore....and them cost to damn much $75/set

Screw matching colors. Unless you intend to drive everywhere with your high beams on, just keep the stock bulbs.

Myself, I actually have 2500k luminics halogens in my highs. For me it's easier to make out distant stuff with the yellow contrast vs. the stock bulbs especially with the wet. Works out for someone like me with crappy night vision.

THIS!

Yellow is the way to go for a high beam setup.

I even had Yellow Low beams for a while.

I did the same with my wifes SE-R. TFS FX-R projectors with 55w 5000k bulbs. No one want to pass me at night on the freeway because I light everything up!
