5.5 = New Fog Light Style

Alright guys and gyals...These fogs on my 5.5 are just ugly and I'm looking into taking them out but that would just leave 2 big holes so...has anyone tried putting 5th gen fogs into 5.5? Its obvious that they dont fit but has anyone tried? What are your impressions?

What makes you wanna get 5th gen fogs? Is it the clear lens as opposed to the frosted? I believe past members have put 5th gen fogs into 5.5 but it does leave gaps.

Mounting holes are different, they won't mount. Not only that but the 5.5 uses a glass lens and the 5 uses a plastic lens which will pit badly.

It's gonna look worse if you can even mount them since there will be a nice gap around it. Leave em or go turbo and use your intercooler piping as an excuse.

There's s thread running about a yellow laminate that you can put over the stock fogs, I think they're about $18.

Didn't some find a Q45 Gatling style foglamp that they were able to fit? I wouldn't ever do that myself...but if you're looking for options...

By Lexus capsules, do you mean that you used actual Lexus fogs? If so from which model? How do they look without the lights on, I can't really see them with the light on. BTW I'm new here sorry...

No, it's an actual glass capsule that is installed into the fog lamp.
