sticking rpm when cold please help!!!
Hi there all,
I have a 2k maxima 135,000kms on it, auto and have owned it for about a month now, I live in canada (vanccouver bc) so its pretty cold this time of year... When I try and start my car in the morning I turn to acc, wait for it to prime and fire it up ill let it crank 8 times and nothing. Ill then return the key to acc and hear it prime again, once it stops priming I fire it up again and on the second crank it starts running, while I sit and wait for the temp guage to read warm I give it a few revs. To speed up the process, if I very slowly depress the gas and let it slowly climb it will hit 1700 rpm and hang there and then the rpms will drop to 1500. But if I press the peddle harder it pushes through and the rpms will continue to climb normally. If I quicky press the peddle to half throttle while its cold it revs normally so it only happens when I'm real gentile with the throttle, if I start it up and throw it into drive. And take off slowly when its cold I can feel the rpms stick at about 1700 as well but if I take off when its cold fast it doesn't do it, I am real picky with my car so while it was warm when I was cruising around and the rpms are around 1700 I think ( but not sure) I can very slightly feel it there to. But way more when its really cold. It doesn't happen at any other rpm range. Only at 1700rpm and I'm not to sure what it is I have cleaned my maf changed my plugs I know its not a miss anyways so its not related to my coils the people who owned it befor me were an older couple. Who drove it to the states a lot! And when your just cruising that's the norm for the rpms to sit at about 1700 so I figure it could be the tps and it has a worn spot there, but would a bad tps act funny more so when its cold??? Has anyone else had this problem, or is there anyone out there that lives somewhere where the have cold winters who's vehicle does the same thing? Like I said I haven't owned it long enough to drive it in the hot weather so maybe its normal? I have no engine lights at all so I don't have any codes??? What should I start checking, I don't believe its a vacuum leak cuz it would always act up wouldn't it??? Please help!

electronics hate cold. assuming 2k is throttle by wire??? do a throttle relearn procedure just for *****. if you dont have any luck with that, pull the voltages off the TPS and other throttle components, and check them against stock specs. other than that, you may be looking at a fuel issue?
i know my reply probably doesn't instill much confidence, but im still new at most of this. id just start with the easy things

I also noticed to if my max is cold and I prime it twice it starts up normally!!! But... The second time I did that I heard a bubbling noise coming from the tank... I guess ill probably start with the fuel filter ( the air filter was pretty bad) , the 2k max's, there filter is located under the rear seat correct?
