battery

can a bad battery cause hesitation????? i have heard lots of people say in the cold months there car can hesitate because of a failing battery, i have some hesitation at 1500- 2000 rpm, my battery looks pretty old on my 2000 max ( its a nissan batt to i know the people who owned it befor me got all serv done at nissan, so it could have been replaced but it looks pretty old!!!! it seems to crank nicley but you never know

I don't see why a battery would cause hesitation if it cranks fine. And because the altinator is operating when the car is on. The battery probably is'nt the problem.

Cranking is the hardest part of its life. If it does that - leave it alone.

yea i figured, i saw it on another forum, thought maybe since the car was cranking over and not firing up right away and bogging at 1700ish rpm its could be a bad battery cuz i always thought the alt, didnt start charging a vehicle until the rpms spun past 2000rpms to create the charge..... guess i waxs wrong, thanks for the insight, i guess my next test will be the air intake sensor.... thanks again!
