Brake Problem!

So about a month ago i was spraying some WD-40 around some upper parts of my suspension, my friend accidentally sprays WD-40 in my brakes, the front ones both of them. I immediately washed them with soap at a car wash. But since then my brakes have been feeling mushy, like i have to push too much to get pressure, went to mechanic today he, turned my rotors cause the brakes are still at 80%.... My question is is there any way to tighten the front brakes so as soon as i push i can feel it or did the WD-40 mess up my brakes even though they're at 80%.... Any output would be helpful, thanks!

You should have just been able to spray them off with a $4 can of Brake Cleaner

Yea, I mean I went to a car wash where they had the brake cleaner brush with spray and hoped that would do it but, brakes still feel mushy...

Remove the pads and sand them down. Then bleed your brakes. Finally smack the **** out of your friend.

My mechanic did sand my brakes today when he was turning my rotors, Ill try to bleed my brakes tomorrow, but to be exact, it got better today but still it just feels like I have to press my brakes about 1 inch before the pressure cruelly comes in so... That's exactly how it is now but I just want it to be immediate feeling

The WD-40 spray shouldn't have had any impact on pedal feel, espeically after you washed it off. If you had the rotors resurfaced, you should have gone through a pad bedding in process. It may take a thousand miles before the pads and the rotor become seasoned again.
