You've definitely given me more to think about, so now it's oem vs. megan-oe vs. sparks03max inspired setup lol.

I definitely appreciate the info

NP. If you want to keep it quiet, I'd recommend something like the walker quietflow muffler. They still flow pretty well and keep the volume down far better than a straight-through design.

Cool, definitely wanna stay quiet(er), I like a little gurgle. As retarded as it may sound, the sound my exhaust produces w/ a rusted through hole is great lol (just not great for the car)

That's the main thing, Cattman is more than twice the price of Megan.

The poll should have an "other" vote and ask to discuss in thread what that "other" would be.

Muffler Advice

Please don't consider this "forum spamming". This question was initially posted in the "Noobies" forum, but since this thread is devoted to exhaust I probably should've posted it here. I haven't gotten much advice aside from a recommendation to get a cattback system. However, I've listened to MANY cattback sound clips and most of the exhausts sound too loud for my taste. Anyway, I recently replaced the mid-pipe with a stock piece from Monroe. At the time they showed me where the axle back pipe was rusting out but said it would last for a while longer. I just noticed a good sized (approx. 2" x 3") piece of rusted metal stuck in one of the exhaust tips. On removal I assume it's the inside of the muffler rotting out, since now the exhaust has a bit louder tone than stock. So I'm planing to get a stainless replacement axle back muffler, I'm leaning toward the HKS Sport. It looks like a direct replacement, but before I spend the $$$ on an unknown part. What would you guys recommend for the best build/fitment quality and a nice quiet tone not much louder than stock?
