Maybe I'll remove my hood and rock it like a B18 swapped Civic...

Hmmm I actually like this idea, despite the negative comments overall.

I thought something similar when examining the styling of the front, the two stock 'lines' on the hood dip down. I was thinking instead, if they remained where they are but they did raise up, so in between the lines would be ever so slightly raised, we're talking about fractions of an inch here, just a styling cue, not a 'look what I'm hidin' under my hood' raise.

I think that's what the OP was intending. You all took it out of context as a 'raised hood' or whatever. I would love to see someone try this out I think it would work, more-over, I think it would look great if done right.

I've always been a fan of the bump on the hood of DSM's, like on my old 99 GSX:

There was a reason for the bump, as well.

Stock?...no. There was no 'performance' (higher hp) version so why have anything resembling performance?

Aftermarket?...Definitely. There should be variances in the hood. IMO, subtle raised curves is better than sharp raised lines.

Power dome from E46 M3...they're not too extreme, I think it might actually work. Here's a pic of a guy who cut out the power dome and grafted it to his stock E39 hood. Similar era design, not nearly as aggressive as very recent vehicles.
