Help, Problem Starting

Starting this week every once in awhile when i go to start my car i will turn the key and only get a "clicking" sound. After turning the key 4 or 5 times it will finally turn over and start up. Once it did take about 10 times turning the key before it started. I put a brand new battery last winter. Also replaced +battery cable end. Any ideas i'm worried its gonna strand me somewhere. Thanks.

check all connections (lugs and wires)
test ur battery - go to auto store and have them do a load test
then test ur starter - take starter off have them test it

rather go to advance auto vs. autozone. autozone starter test only does pass/fail, doesnt help much when starter works but not at full cycle.

I would check connections as stated then worry about starter...although it is quite possible it could be a starter issue.

best solution take starter off and take to advance auto to be tested? is there a solenoid on the starter?

i said auto store, not zone

and im not sure about where to take the starters, if i need it tested i have a local place that does it for me not an auto parts store that sells 300 dollar chrome strips

putting a battery load tester on the battery and cranking it up to the rated cca will tell you if the battery is good or not by checking to see if the voltage holds..i have a battery load tester at home so i dont have to worry about it

you can also check each cell for specific gravity if it is not a sealed battery so see which cell is bad, but you have to have a refractometer
