Question for the 3.0 guys;
MY 1996 max with the 3.0 has water in the oil.
Obvious answer seems to be blown headgasket, but I'm not getting any other symptoms. I would think there would be discoloration of the coolant, or water in the exhaust if it was the headgasket.
I'm leaning a bit to an internally leaking water pump, and want to know if any of the 3.0 owners have experienced or repaired that.
When I changed the oil the other day on the 3.0, the oil was frothy and chocolate-milk colored. But the car runs fine, no overheating, passed smog two weeks ago, all seems well. Except the appearance of the oil when I drained it.
Thanks
Bill

Sounds like a head gasket to me.ive seen nissan techs turn that job down before because it sucks,my brother did a set in his i30t,it took him 2 weeks of picking at it a few hours a night.alldata i think calls it 22 hours or so ? good luck bro hope everything works out for you.

def. sounds like a head gasket
for the amount of work involved it would be easier to get another engine and swap it out and if the old block is ok you can always replace the head gasket and either sell it or hang onto it
