Diamter of springs measurement?
Diamter of springs measurement?
Would someone with a spring out please measure the diameter of the spring. If it matches with the springs for my Uncles altima, then ima put them on my Max.
theyre eibachs btw. probably irrelevant

i was thinkin they would say no so we'd buy a new set. if im gonna buy me a set of springs, im gettin progress cuz i want that aggressive drop. my struts are dead anyways so if these fit ima ride em for a while til i get more money for coilovers
Also can you explain real qwik those last 2 measurements? Those are the rears? is that top and bottom?

to answer yur question, yes that's for the rear....the top is about 3.6" and the bottom is 4.5-4.6"[in between]

sweet dude thanks for the quick replys. was not expecting any til later today
on da neck braceOP lowering springs with blown shocks/struts is a NO NO.....i speak from recent experience
[3-4 months ago]....da ride will get bouncy like a trampoline
Just because the spring is the same size, you cannot assume you can use it. The weights of the cars are different, which means the spring rates are different, which means your car will handle like poo.
I install a LOT of suspensions. I would not recommend this at all. Do it once, and do it RIGHT.
And DEFINITELY don't put lowering springs on blown struts. You won't even be able to get the piston to stay up so you can put the top nut on the assembly

getting the coilover repaired cant be that much can it? I know my uncles gotta send his KW coilovers in to repair and its only 300 somethin cuz he isnt the original buyer. Its supposed to be free lifetime repairs for those.
Oh. Well, I don't know.
All I know is to replace the struts on my Ksports, they're $110 a strut.
That's all I've had to replace so far. That and the rubber boots that go over the strut core to protect the strut shaft from dirt...those were like... $10 a piece?

This is like telling all of the G35 coupe and sedan owners who found a cheap alternative to lowering their rides and increasing driveability by using complete front and rear STOCK 350z suspensions to not use 350Z suspensions because the part #'s do not match.
I'm in on the OP's idea. Might give more options, might not, but I can't see any reason why he shouldn't attempt this.

It's also almost like saying not to use a 2002 bumper on a 2003 because the part #'s are different.
Nissan changes part numbers almost every year.
FWIW, tie rods from a 99 will work just fine on our cars. However, Nissan renumbers the part so that they can charge more for different year models.

that last part is very good to know.
I'll be the one to step out of the box and either **** up, or find something noone else has done yet.
