Headlights

It's okay. My stealer wanted $300 to install a cam position sensor. It's a job that takes all of thirty seconds.
I'd try HIDextra or The Retrofit Source for your bulbs. Both are pretty reputable, and carry good warranties against faulty bulbs.

OP: others suggested theretrofitsource (I can vouch) but I've also heard orgers on here have decent bulbs from ebay (don't hate me I'm just the messenger
)
For aftermarket you've also got ebay halogen reflector but they're only marginally better than ebay projector. I'm running them now until I can put together a nice grounding kit so I can finally put my retros back on it.
Best: Retro or 5.5

Whats wrong with running the retros without a grounding kit?
My car isn't groundless, but the factory grounds are worn and frayed. I'm going to put together another set and use bigger ground wires. You'd probably be okay if your grounds look better than mine. My passenger side hid kept burning out.
Hm I see, I ground my ballasts directly to the battery with 14 gauge, seems to work pretty decent
You ground both ballasts to the battery neg? I ask b/c my driver's side (battery) is always consistent, yet the side I ground to the factory ground point (chassis, and grinded the paint down to metal) no bueno. I've tried different locations w/ no success
I know this is way over OT but did you tie both ballasts to the same ground wire or use separate wires running to the batt? I may just ground both ballasts to the neg then (though I'm still gonna get a new ground setup) luvlex, I gotta pm you and pick your brain lol
Old setup ran fine a little over a 1.5 yrs (w/ relay). Both always fired up, but pass. kept going out after awhile (I switched out ballasts and the opposite side always worked)

Here is a real projector output...ground is slanted:
i kno i dont have any bussiness posting here sine im 6th generation but since ive upgraded to HID on my max, i clicked on the thread. im having major problems with mines. after getting them done ive gotten major condensation inside the housing lamp on the driver side, i wish i could post pics. i took it back to the shop & basically theres nothing they can do :-(. just hoping summers hot weather would clear it all away
^Were the headlight housings opened up for a retrofit? They may need to be reopened so they can be resealed (sometimes, however, condensation can disappear over time)
Drunkie that ebay proj's output looks absolutely horrific (damn near scary) That's definitely worse than ebay reflectors
